Of the eight players listed as questionable on Detroit's injury report, Stafford and Okwara are the two who won't suit up.

Stafford has broken bones in his back, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

But bear in mind, Chicago has managed to lose during its four-game skid to a Raiders team missing its top two receivers and top draft pick; New Orleans Saints club with an all-backup backfield sans National Football League passing champ Drew Brees and Pro Bowl back Alvin Kamara; Los Angeles Chargers without their top two defensive tackles and All-Pro defensive back; and last week to the Eagles, who were without future Hall of Fame LT Jason Peters.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Stafford will miss the game against the Bears, and Jeff Driskel will get the start.

Stafford has started 136 straight games. According to ESPN, the game was nearly lost at the Lions' house against the Chiefs in Week 4 due to back pain.

There is a possibility that the Lions shut Stafford down for the rest of 2019.

"I'll be ready to go", Stafford said Wednesday. "I'm not really anxious about it". After doctors did extra tests on his back, they concluded he is no shape to play. "Something different, but I'm totally fine".

Stafford's wife, Kelly, posted a tribute to her husband on Instagram on Sunday morning.
