Released on 3,000 screens across the country, Bala collected Rs 10.15 crore at the Indian box office on the first day of its release. However, on Sunday it saw a nominal growth with Rs. 18.10 crores being collected at the box office, hence resulting in a weekend of Rs. 44.57 crores. From AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho last year to Dream Girl this year, Ayushmann is on a winning streak and his recent release Bala is only taking that forward.

Helmed by Stree-famed director Amar Kaushik, film Bala has received unanimously positive reviews with critics praising the 35-year-old actor for his performance. Bala, which is made on the interesting theme of receding hairline and is the story of a fan dealing with premature balding, also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam.

Bala is Ayushmann Khurrana's third film of 2019.
