Actress Courteney Cox sent "Friends" fans into a frenzy with her selfie with former co-star Matthew Perry from a lunch date. "#RealFriends", Cox wrote alongside the image, which she posted on Instagram on Thursday.

Cox often posts photos with Friends castmates Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston, but it's not often the show's men make an appearance. Starting as, well, friends, they eventually fall madly in love and get married.

The picture temporarily "broke" Instagram, earning Aniston the Guinness World Records for the fastest one million followers gained in the shortest amount of time. She has received over a million likes each on her two posts.

Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston and Allison Janney commented on Courteney Cox's Instagram photo with Matthew Perry. "It's like having your family stand right behind you, because these things are a little nerve wrecking".

That aside, all the Friends reunion pics are making fans antsy.

The Marley and Me star completed her outfit, which showcased her toned and tanned pins, with a pair of black strappy sandals. "Oh god, there's a lot of different ideas, but who knows?" she said. "[I'm] just so happy to be here to support her".

Writing alongside the picture Cox said: "Guess who I had lunch with today".

"Could I BE any happier?"

The post garnered almost 3 million likes with comments by Kudrow who said "Lucky lucky", and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet joking "high-quality content". "I LOVE YOU, GUYS" with a few heart emojis.

The actress, who celebrated her 50th birthday earlier this year, enjoyed the mini reunion with her former TV co-stars at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's 4th Annual Patron of the Artists Awards where she scooped an accolade. Aniston, who was seen as Rachel Green in the show, joked.

Aniston added fuel to the rumours recently when she told Ellen DeGeneres that "something is happening". She had said, "We would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is".

"Well, it means something different in the context of, well us", Kudrow said.
