Welterweight Champ Errol Spence Jr. in Intensive Care After Flipping Ferrari

Welterweight Boxing World Champion Errol Spence Jr is in intensive care after being involved in a serious auto crash in Dallas, Texas in the US.

Spence is now in the intensive care unit recovering from serious but not life-threatening injuries. He failed to enjoy any broken bones or fractures but has some facial lacerations.

Spence, Jr won by decision.

Spence, who was not wearing his seat belt, suffered broken teeth, according to Miles.

The 29-year-old boxer flipped his Ferrari in a rollover crash around 3:00 a.m.in Dallas. "His parents are with him at the hospital", Tim Smith, a spokesman for Spence's promoter, Premier Boxing Champions, said.

Errol Spence Jr.'s Ferrari crash, which left the famed boxer injured, was captured on a dramatic surveillance video that shows the luxury vehicle flip in a cloud of smoke. Police and paramedics were able to get onto the scene right away and now, Spence is in an intensive care unit where he is receiving around-the-clock care.

The boxing great is said to be stable and is expected to make a full recovery.

'The driver was taken to an area hospital where he is expected to live, but remains in ICU.

"My dad always tells me 'this boxing thing is a part of your life but it's not going to last forever. We're all wishing the fitting for Errol".

Shawn Porter, who Spence defeated on September 28, tweeted his well-wishes to the boxer.

Spence Jr made a name for himself in England in 2017 after claiming a technical knockout win over Kell Brook to become IBF champion. "Thoughts are with you and wishing you a full and speedy recovery".
