Naomie Harris had to fight off the unwanted attentions of a major Hollywood star who groped her as a young actress.

"I was in an audition and he put his hand up my skirt", said the Oscar nominee, without naming names. "What was so shocking about it was the casting director was there and the director, and of course no one said anything at all because he was - he is - such a huge star", she revealed.

After recalling the assault, which she said occurred when she was in her 20s, Harris, now 43, acknowledged that in the wake of the recent #MeToo and Time's Up movements, men no longer get an easy pass for this behavior.

Naomie did not name the actor from the audition.

Harris had previously said in an interview that she did not experience sexism or racism in the industry.

She went on to note that she believes her Cambridge education shielded her from a lot of other sexual advances in show business saying, "I think there is an immediate assumption that you have a brain".

She recently told GQ Hype the movie has "massive, massive surprises that even had me like, 'Oh, wow!'"

No Time To Die, which sees Daniel Craig return as the suave spy, is due to be released in the United Kingdom in April 2020.
