Meghan Markle Posts Throwback Inside Edition Clip on Day of the Girl

In honor of International Day of the Girl on October 11 - a day observed globally and created by the United Nations to acknowledge the gender inequality that exists worldwide - the 38-year-old royal took to the Sussex Royal Instagram to share some powerful words aimed at young girls.

She shared the video on the official Instagram account of Sussex Royal, which showed her first giving a speech about the potential of every girl, as she shared pictures of various engagements where she had met young girls. In this speech, Markle talked about her early experience as a feminist fighting sexism in a soap commercial that used the line, "women everywhere are fighting greasy pots and pans". Meghan and her classmates were asked to review television commercials and assess their messages.

Meghan, who was in South Africa at the time, video conferenced with Harry and CAMFED at an engagement in Malawi in September!

Meanwhile, the caption on the Instagram post reads: "Today is International DayoftheGirl, a day observed globally and created by the United Nations to acknowledge the gender inequality that exists worldwide". It is also a day to celebrate and encourage girls to know their value and to support them in taking action to grow into the women they wish to be.

Meghan has always been an advocate for women's rights, and took several moments out of her royal tour of South Africa to tackle some of the most important issues facing women and girls throughout the world. No matter what age, or what background you have the power to make an impact.

"HRH recently shared a quote during a speech in Cape Town: 'Visualize your highest self, and show up as her'. To all of the young girls reading this today on International Day of the Girl, that quote is for you".

She ended the Instagram video on Friday with a message to all young girls.

Nick News was an educational program for children that aired on the popular cable network Nickelodeon.

"I am here with you and I am here for you and I thank you so much for showing my husband and I the spirit of Ubuntu", she said.

She said that her father inspired her to bring about change.

Just when we thought we couldn't love her more, she gives us yet another reason to cheer her on.

'People all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans, ' the revised ad said.
