Rodri moved to City in a £62.8 million move from Atletico Madrid in July after impressing Guardiola with his displays last season.

Asked to explain their losses in the league, he told ESPN: "I won my first title as soon as I arrived [Community Shield], so that [start] was good".

- When does the transfer window reopen? 'I didn't have this exact role in the team.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri admits title rivals Liverpool are the "best team in England and in Europe".

'I am learning new things, how to go, when to stay, when I have to do a tactical foul, when I have to jump, ' he continued.

"Sometimes situations happen but we are a team that always try to attack, to defend well, to try to play our game but never having to think about making actions like that".

'It's good for me to learn these things.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has admitted that he and his Manchester City teammates face a tough time catching up with Liverpool in the Premier League this season, calling Jurgen Klopp's side the "best in Europe".

Man City, chasing a third consecutive league crown under Guardiola, find themselves eight points behind table toppers Liverpool after suffering another surprise loss before the recent worldwide break.

Jurgen Klopp's team has started the new campaign on fire and sit eight points clear at the top of the table during the worldwide break.

"But the team to beat is Liverpool now and that has been for the last two seasons". 'They are the champions of Europe so everyone wants to beat them, not just us.

"We hope we can get important players [back from injury] and when they do, that will be good for the team".
