He was quoted saying by news agency ANI: "Former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy in Mysuru: PM came to Bengaluru to give a message that he himself was landing Chandrayaan-2, scientists worked hard for 10-12 yrs, he came just for sake of advertisement".

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Thursday said officials of the California Institute of Technology (CalTech) and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) visited its headquarters and met its Chairman K. Sivan. ISRO has now very little time left as the lunar night - equal to 14 Earth days - will set in by 21 September when the lander, which runs on solar power, will go to sleep and most likely never wake up. "Here's an eerie recording of the searcher's signal reflected off the Moon and back to Earth via EME (Earth Moon Earth) on 2103.7MHz", tweeted Scott Tilley, an amateur astronomer who found American weather satellite IMAGE in 2018 that was considered to be lost. Each site contains a minimum of four large antennas - ranging from 26 metre up to 70 metre in diameter - and is capable of providing continuous radio communications with several spacecraft at the same time.

DSN supports both NASA and non-NASA missions that seek to explore the furthest points of our solar system. Chandrayaan-2 was meant to prove the findings of the previous mission.

But sadly the lander could not control the velocity during the last two minutes due to which it couldn't soft-land on the moon. Unfortunately, the Vikram lander lost control while trying to attempt a soft landing on the lunar surface and ended up crash-landing with a communication loss. Sivan had recently clarified that the orbiter's lifespan has been upgraded to seven years from the expected minimum of 1 year, signifying that there is ample fuel in it. Concurrently, the U.S. has pledged to set up lunar laboratories in the near future, while Europe and Russian Federation have also revealed plans to launch multifaceted missions. Vikram was separated from the orbiter as it made its way to the Moon on September 2.
