Just one day after losing 23-2 to the Houston Astros, the Baltimore Orioles pulled out a dramatic walk-off victory. Houston has Justin Verlander on the mound today. Across his 157.2 innings and 15-4 mark so far, Verlander has a 2.68 ERA with 206 Ks and 33 BBs.

Houston had 25 hits for its 23 runs on Saturday, scoring in all but two of the nine innings.

The Astros took the lead in the top of the ninth with three runs. The run support was great for Aaron Sanchez, who got his fifth win of the year. Baltimore is 2-5 in Wojciechowski's last seven starts and the under is 12-3-1 in their last 16 Sunday games. The veteran right-hander has a 10-5 career record along with a 3.59 ERA in 21 starts against the Orioles. "We put ourselves in a position to win; our guys did a fantastic job battling back". For Bregman, it was a two-run homer, and Alvarez followed with a solo shot for an early 3-0 lead. Baltimore has a collective batting average of.244 this season, led by Hanser Alberto with an average of.315. The Orioles have scored just four runs in the first two games, one of which came on a pinch-hit homer from recently called-up Rio Ruiz in the seventh inning on Saturday.

The Astros are 9-0 in the last nine in game three of a series and 7-0 in the last seven Sunday games.

The Orioles are 13-38 in their last 51 games against a right-handed starter and 7-19 in their last 26 Sunday games.

"Very unusual for him to go five innings and be out of the game, but they worked him tough", Astros manager AJ Hinch said. He gave the Orioles two good starts recently but struggled in his last two. I'm not sure what arms the Orioles can really offer to contend with this Houston lineup.
