According to 91Mobiles, Jio is testing its apps' compatibility with OnePlus TV. Since then the company went to its fan base for help in naming the upcoming device and it looks like we finally have a victor - the OnePlus TV.

Speaking of the minimal logo design, OnePlus justifies it saying, "We simply added a TV behind our brand logo; however, there's some thought behind it - this is our OnePlus way to show the world that it is our first step to explore the endless possibilities in a broader spectrum".

"OnePlus is committed to the vision of a connected home environment".

After almost a year of silence, OnePlus finally spoke up about its upcoming TV.

The company claims it was inspired by classical art forms like the ancient Hindu mandala symbol as well as the Heraion of Argos ancient Greek temple. "The company will continue to evolve the OnePlus TV, as well as the brand's other mobile devices, to develop innovations that make sense for its users to always create the best experience possible", noted the press note. We have also been introduced to a minimal logo that goes along with the name.

OnePlus is rumoured to launch its first television set on September 26. Also, the OnePlus TV and an alleged remote was recently spotted on Bluetooth SIG website. These are likely to launch in countries like China, India, and the U.S. first. It also revealed the logo of its lineup.

Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus TV has made numerous unofficial appearances on the web.

OnePlus last year took registrations from its community for choosing the name of its first TV last year. Soon after it was announced, the company initiated a contest to find a relevant name for its first smart TV.
