Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra & Fake Followers

Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) carried out a research which now claims that celebrities worldwide, including Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, have a great amount of fake Instagram followers.

The website that analyses the biggest names from the field of sorts and entertainment on social media did a comparative study listing the top 10 Celebrities with the maximum number of fake followers. Interestingly, Deepika Padukone ranks 6 on the list with 45% fake followers while Priyanka Chopra occupies the 10 slot with 43%.

A report in Economic Times also states, "At the top is talk show host Ellen DeGeneres with 58 per cent of fake Instagram followers, followed by boy-band BTS coming with 48 per cent. Kourtney Kardashian was third with 49 per cent, while Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian both had 44 per cent fake followers on the Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform". A recent statistics have dug out that various Insta celebs who boast of having huge number of followers, actually have fake followers.

In a statement ICMP said, "We took various "most successful" and "most followed" to build our list of celebrities across acting, sport, music, and TV personalities".

Attaining the 19th spot, Priyanka made it to the list along with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who sits on the 23rd rank. The percentage being respective to the number of fake followers they have to their total follow count.
