(At that time, Archer was in its seventh season.) The creator divulged, "I don't know that anybody has talked about that, but that is definitely my plan - to do 8, 9, and 10, and they're gonna be each shorter seasons of just eight episodes - and then wind it up ..."

With the Season 11 announcement, it was revealed what form the show would be in next season.

The show was created by Adam Reed and is executive produced by Reed, Matt Thompson and Casey Willis. The show is now in season ten, with Archer and his team playing space cowboys aboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship.

The panel offered an exclusive sneak peek at the season 10 penultimate episode and offered a Q&A with the voice cast.

Ever since Archer fell into a coma, the show has been reinventing itself from season to season. The news comes less than a week ahead of the Season 10 finale.

"We are incredibly excited for our eleventhth season and look forward to "Archer" waking up from his coma and returning to a spy world that has continued without him for the past three years", Casey Willis, executive producer of the series, said of its renewal. We don't know if Archer wakes up from the coma at the beginning of the season, towards the middle, or at the end, but it seems like the team would keep it a secret if it was towards the end of the season.

For a show that was getting increasingly freaky with its format, this marks a return to the spy-fi the series was first known for lampooning, as close to a "back to basics" approach that something as wonderfully bonkers as Archer can get. Now [that] we've been gone [for] so long from that, it's going to feel brand-new again. And that exploration of truly something different for Archer as a character is exciting for us. And if that feeling stays and we see a way to make season 12 and continue that interest, I don't see why not.

"The roles and people's personalities have changed", he said. However, it ends with him waking up from his coma, three years later. "There's fatigue there. And what I want to say to those people is that we were tired too but now we're not, and to c'mon back, y'all".
