'Stranger Things 3': Here's how many people watched it on July 4

Not long after the launch of Netflix's STRANGER THINGS Season 3, American animation studio Humouring the Fates has unleashed a gorgeous anime-style video that takes some of the show's most iconic moments and transforms them into an otaku's wet dream!

The most likely identity of The American in Stranger Things is Hopper, last seen disappearing in the explosion caused by the closing of the gate to the Upside Down. And while Netflix hasn't officially announced a new season, creators Ross and Matt Duffer are already looking ahead to Stranger Things 4. Considering both the emotional and mysterious events of the third season finale, I'd say that the show is sure to venture into new and unsafe territory.

A writer on the Stranger Things Reddit also noted: "It may be in Russian Federation, but the name actually means "exploded place" or "stretching terrain".

"They said they had the "big broad strokes" in place with season four but were now 'filling in those lines in the details".

Season three of Stranger Things saw things wrap up on a shocking note as it was all change in Hawkins, Indiana. "I kind of just interpret it like he's not ready to grow up and he doesn't really want to move on to dating and relationships yet". And new pairings like Eleven and Max.

Now I promise my rambling connects back to what this article is about. We got through Eleven being separated from everyone in season 2 and enjoyed the different pairings in season 3. But, if we have to go through it again in season 4, I don't know what it's going to be like.

While there's still not much known yet about how the fourth season will be handled, it'll be interesting to see how things stem after the third season. That "average minute audience" is apparently the closest Nielsen can get to matching streaming shows to its own average viewership for TV shows. That episode was one of the most controversial ones and probably the least favorite for many fans. Though, unless "the American" turns out to be Hopper (I really hope it is!), I don't know if I'll be too interested if there are many scenes in Russian Federation.

When recently asked by Entertainment Tonight about Hopper returning in "Stranger Things 4", Harbour danced around the answer and replied, "I mean, I have no idea!"

Netflix occasionally publishes viewing figures for certain shows but the majority of its data is closely guarded.

So! If you're like us and you thought Hopper looked truly iconic in his date shirt, here's where you can pick up a version of it for yourself.
