The security guard who is pressing charges against Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is now facing an accusation of his own, from Elliott's attorneys.

Elliott would be placed in handcuffs briefly and Las Vegas police would later determine he did not apply the type of force necessary to create the fall.

The guard, Kyle Johnson, recently filed a criminal complaint with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Johnson, 19, received an apology from Elliott following the incident, but said "it didn't seem honest at all". "I don't want to be here right now" kind of thing", Johnson said of Elliott's apology.

"Just very unsympathetic", Johnson said of Elliott's remorse.

Attorneys for the Cowboys released a statement on Saturday saying Elliott is the "target of extortion".

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott might be off the hook when it comes to any discipline from the National Football League stemming from a May incident in Las Vegas. Mr. Elliott and it his team are in contact with all of the proper authorities and are fully cooperating with them in their investigations.

Johnson's father, Kelly, told FOX5 that "Zeke would have been the next guy on the ground" if he was present during the incident.
