Celtic left-back move to Arsenal ‘inevitable’

Brendan Rodgers surprisingly chose to leave Celtic in February of this year in order to take charge of Premier League side Leicester City. So that's one we'll look at.

Tierney is still recovering from double hernia operation but this is unlikely to prevent a move from happening.

"He is rehabbing. He had the double hernia, and he still has the osteitis pubis problem, so it's a slow burner".

Now Arsenal have made a fresh attempt to have a bid accepted by Celtic and it is claimed they have offered in the region of £25m for the Scotland global.

Should the transfer go through, the £25m would be the biggest in the history of Scottish football, currently, the £19.7m Lyon paid Celtic for Moussa Dembele last summer stands as the largest.

But Lennon is hoping he is still a Celtic player, and a fully fit one, when the league season kicks off.

All eyes will be on whether Celtic deem the bid acceptable and then allow Tierney to speak to Arsenal.

It has been widely reported that Arsenal only have a transfer budget of around £45m this summer after their failure to qualify for the Champions League. However, Neil Lennon has been gushing in his praise for the Celtic youth product and believes he should be rewarded with a new long term deal.
