Sorry, but Final Fantasy 7 Remake is still a PS4 exclusive

The post both on Facebook and Twitter announced that the remake would be coming to Xbox One in March of 2020: the same month as PS4. At time of writing, that video appears to have been taken down, but not before screenshots were captured and shared to social media (you can check them out further down this article). "Sorry, no announcement on our side", she wrote.

The Xbox Germany Facebook page recently posted a video that stated that the Final Fantasy VII Remake would release on Xbox One on March 3 alongside the PS4 edition. Human error was to blame, Gräff added, and someone apparently didn't check the exclusivity of Final Fantasy 7 Remake when it added it to the video, which featured several Final Fantasy games.

The question we're left with is what kind of mistake is this. That changed a little yesterday, when Xbox Germany mistakenly announced the game for Xbox One. I mean, never say never, but an Xbox One version of Final Fantasy VII Remake doesn't sound particularly hopeful, does it? It's likely the remake will make its way to other platforms eventually, but at least for a while, the only place you'll be able to play it is on PS4. "We make sure this doesn´t happen again".

While the post may have just been a mistake on behalf of Xbox's German branch, the title was only announced as a timed exclusive on PlayStation 4.
