Earlier this week, VIVO released a teaser image on Weibo announcing it will participate in the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Shanghai that kicks off on June 26. While it doesn't show an entire charge cycle like Xiaomi's teaser, Vivo is claiming that the 120W fast charging solution will charge a 4000mAh battery from flat to 100% in just 13 minutes.

Although Vivo has announced its new technology, it has not revealed the technology being this complicated 120W SuperCharge technology. The company claims that its technology can charge 50 percent of the phone in 5 minutes.

Earlier this year in the month of March, Xiaomi teased its 100W Super Charge Turbo technology which was able to charge a 4000mAh battery in just 17 minutes and this newer technology from Vivo is capable of charging the phone with same capacity in lesser time making it the highest charging power and fastest charging capacity in the smartphone market. Hence, it is now the highest charging power and the fastest charging capacity in the smartphone industry.

Oppo and Huawei stood out previous year thanks to their super-fast charging technology, but Vivo thinks it can do much better than that.

In April, Vivo had launched the iQOO gaming phone. The 4,000mAh battery of the iQOO smartphone takes only 45 minutes to reach full capacity through its 44W fast charging tech. There is also a video which shows how fast the phone is charging using this new technology. The company did not confirm on when it will begin the mass production of the technology.

Vivo is all set to launch a new 5G phone at MWC Shanghai next week but that is not all you should be excited about from the Chinese smartphone giant.
