Watch Dogs Legion trailer shows London setting and recruited player characters

Every NPC in the game can be hacked and controlled, making the game the most accessible in the series.

The characters you'll meet roaming around London aren't randomly generated; instead, each has a persistent schedule and backstory, as well as special traits you can leverage to help your cause using the Play as Anyone feature. Through the video, we've learned that London is in turmoil. If that wasn't bad enough, organized crime families rule London's underground with an iron fist.

The wait is finally over, as a trailer officially unveiling the game was shown off, finally detailing what the game is, where it will take place, and who the main characters are. Well, it mostly means the game will support real-time ray tracing, the graphics technology on which Nvidia based much of its RTX platform's appeal. From what we've seen, each playable character seems to blend seamlessly into the over-arching story, and perhaps most importantly, they can die - permanently.

How exactly Ubisoft is accomplishing this extremely ambitious idea from a technical perspective is unknown, but the concept is certainly exciting.
