Of course, just like its predecessor, the next ROG phone should include a plethora of accessories to improve the gaming experience like a ROG exclusive gamepad. Now it appears that the company is ready to launch the successor called the ROG Phone 2. We've also seen the likes of the Asus ROG Phone and OnePlus 7 Pro offer 90Hz refresh rates, but it looks like Asus is taking the fight to Razer. This bad boy will apparently sport an extra-sharp screen with a blazing fast 120Hz refresh rate, created to fully immerse mobile users in silky smooth fighting experiences like those offered by a game called "Under One Person".

This will make the ROG Phone 2, the third smartphone with a 120Hz display after the Razer Phone and Razer Phone 2.

The original ROG Phone offered a 90Hz refresh rate via a full HD OLED screen, but it's unclear whether the new phone will use OLED or LCD technology to deliver 120Hz support.

As per a post on ROG's official Weibo handle, Asus will be announcing this device in July and it will pack in an overkill 120 Hz display. However, it is being speculating that the Snapdragon 855 chipset will be present under the hood of the ROG Phone 2. Also, its highest configuration model could be equipped with 12 GB of RAM. There is a possibility that the smartphone may come with a robust heat dissipation system and it may sport a better design.
