The 64GB SIM-Free Google Pixel 3a in Just Black will only be available at that ridiculous price for 50 people only, and you have until May 20 at 11.59pm to throw your name into the hat.

Soon after their launch in October 2016, hundreds of Pixel owners reported not being able to make calls, record audio with the camera app, or use Google Assistant because of a hardware fault that affected the microphone.

The search-engine giant first admitted that there was an issue with some of the phones back in March 2017.

The settlement agreement states that the highest payout of $500 would be due to owners of Pixel 1 and Pixel 1 XL, who got a defective replacement device against their faulty original unit. These claimants could be paid up to $500 in the settlement.

Owners with the original defective device would get up to $350, whereas users who fixed the problem through insurance can get their amount repaid.

Google and Huawei have previously settled a class action lawsuit over bootloop issues on Google's Nexus 6P, while LG has settled a lawsuit over bootloop issues on several Android phones, including Google's Nexus 5X.

The court is yet to give its approval after in the Pixel microphone case after which the link to submit a claim will go live.

Although Google has agreed to settle, the next hearing of the lawsuit would take place on June 5.
