On the same day that Julianna Zobrist filed for divorce, Ben Zobrist filed for legal separation in Williamson, Tennessee, where the couple owns a house, according to the Tennessean.

Cubs veteran Ben Zobrist is now on indefinite leave with the Cubs since last Wednesday.

Julianna Zobrist, a professional musician and published author, filed for divorce Monday in IL, according to the Cook County database.

Separate filings in different jurisdictions in cases involving large marital assets are not uncommon. After she filed for divorce, fans noticed that Julianna had deleted her Twitter account, as well as numerous photos from her Instagram account that had featured her husband. IL is among the states that determine assets on the date the divorce is final. Julianna sung "God Bless America" before Game 4 of the 2016 World Series.

Zobrist is due more than $9 million for the remainder of this season in the final year of his four-year contract with the club.
