Elderly man gets pushed off bus and later dies from injuries

According to police, the incident took place on March 21 aboard a Regional Transportation Commission bus that was travelling near Fremont and 13th streets.

According to Las Vegas Now, 25-year-old Cadesha Bishop was arrested for pushing the man as he was attempting to get off the bus following a verbal argument.

On Tuesday, cops released bus security footage of the confrontation, which shows Bishop placing her hands on Fournier's back and allegedly shoving him out of the parked bus as he attempted to exit.

She's facing a charge of open murder on an elderly-vulnerable person.

The elderly man smashed his head on the pavement and was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries a month later.

In police documents Bishop is accused of shoving Fournier out the door "with enough force that he never touched any of the steps" before hitting his head about eight feet (2.4 meters) from the bus.

A judge held her on $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing on May 21.

Officers believe Bishop had been argumentative with people on the bus.

Mr Fournier's neighbour Trevor Taylor described him as "a wonderful person" and promised he would never forget his friend.

Fournier leaves behind a disabled wife.

'No matter what his age, she should not have done that.

After the alleged shoving, Bishop reportedly fled the scene.

"He was an excellent neighbor". Police said he was bleeding from the head when he was found.
