Since Britney Spears postponed her Las Vegas "Domination" residency a year ago, fans have been wondering when the iconic pop star will return to the stage - but an interview with her manager now suggests that time may never come.

Larry Rudolph, her manager, said that it now isn't healthy for the 37-year-old to perform live or work on her Las Vegas residency, TMZ reported on May 14.

While Rudolph is only given information on a "need-to-know basis", like medical information that would impact her career, he clearly sounds like he's in the know about her current situation.

The manager also told TMZ that he doesn't think Spears should return to Las Vegas for another residency, despite being due to kick off her latest run of shows back in February.

Rudolph called the stress of Jamie's colon condition the "perfect storm", adding that he and his team "had to pull her show because her meds stopped working".

When asked about her future the manager said he doesn't want Spears to perform again "till she's ready, physically, mentally and passionately". "If that time never comes again it will never come again", he said. "I hope the people allow her to have her private time". She was excited. She hasn't called me in months. And, if she ever does want to work again, I am here to tell her if it is a good idea or not, " he said.

"However, it's important to always put your family first... and that's the decision I had to make".

This news will upset her fans as they will no longer be able to see their favourite singer performing live on stage. While everyone warned her to take it slow and give herself time in the facility, Spears missed her routine and just being in her own bed.

Britney Spears' life has been complicated lately.

Lutfi said he had not made contact with Spears since 2009, when a previous restraining order against him was granted to Spears. "I think it is overly broad and violates Mr. Lutfi's constitutional rights".

The Toxic singer during a court hearing last week alleged that Jamie was responsible for having her committed recently to rehab. "This is a temporary order, and we look forward to coming back", Gains said.
