Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: we'll add one or two this summer

Messi made sure there was no memorable Champions League comeback for Manchester United at Camp Nou on Tuesday, scoring two early goals to help Barcelona beat United 3-0 and reach the last-four for the first time in four seasons with a 4-0 aggregate score. I've said all along this isn't going to change overnight and the next few years are going to be massive for us to get to the level where Barcelona and other teams are at the moment.

"You never know what can happen in football, they [United] have a very good team and they could have caused us problems, so we made sure we were focussed and played with intensity so we would make it through".

Tonight, the Reds are preparing to use last week's 2-0 first leg win at Anfield as a springboard into a semi-final against Barca. The Blaugrana haven't lost at home in any competition in six months, and they're yet to taste defeat at Camp Nou in four Champions League games this season.

United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer meanwhile backed Barca to conquer the continent again. Barcelona's fans celebrated that too.

They could have hardly have asked for a better start.

Marcus Rashford hit the crossbar after 35 seconds, while Scott McTominay had an opportunity one minutes later, though the Catalans woke up after those scares.

Messi opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a sublime effort, twisting and turning and leaving United bodies in his wake before picking out the bottom corner from the most slender of angles.

Then, Barcelona had their own eight-minute flurry as United nearly conceded a penalty, ruled out after Fred took the ball before bringing down Ivan Rakitic, and then did concede, twice, to Messi.

Both could have been avoided, even if Young's turn on the edge of his own box was punished in devastating fashion.

"At 2-0 straight after it was game over".

Messi then breezed about the pitch - nutmegging players in pink nearly at will and then spraying a brilliant ball to the onrushing Jordi Alba whose cut-back teed up Coutinho who delivered an emphatic finish.

Sergi Roberto at the far post only for De Gea to redeem himself with a fantastic save. They believe this is their year.
