Man threw iguana at manager inside Painesville restaurant, police say

A man is facing charges after a freaky incident inside a Painesville, Ohio restaurant involving an iguana.

The incident took place at Perkins Restaurant in Painesville, which is located about 30 miles northeast of Cleveland.

Police say a man accused of throwing an iguana at a manager in an OH restaurant has been arrested on charges including animal cruelty.

The man, who faces charges of animal cruelty, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, was not identified by police in a Facebook post put up Tuesday afternoon.

The man allegedly flung the animal at the restaurant manager.

The iguana, named Copper, is now in the custody of the Lake County Humane Society and will be evaluated by a veterinarian. The suspect then reportedly threw the lizard at the manager. "Copper was later released to the Lake County Humane Society who will be taking Copper to a vet so he can be checked for injuries".
