Google teases May 7 announcement, likely Pixel 3a and 3a XL

Despite the fact that all three generations of Google's Pixel phones have been compatible with T-Mobile, Verizon has been the only carrier to sell them in the U.S. That might soon be changing, though. With May 7 already penciled for big Pixel news, don't be surprised to see T-Mobile announce that it too will sell the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a next month.

If you don't want to buy an unlocked Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL from the Google Play Store, you don't have many other options.

Should T-Mobile jump into Pixel 3 sales, you have to wonder if that is a sign of good things to come for the Pixel 4 later this year. But that's likely to change as 9to5google reports a reliable source claims T-Mobile plans to offer the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL very soon. This would mark the end of Verizon's exclusive carrier deal. Rumors have said the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL could launch at Verizon this spring.

Previous reports have suggested that the Pixel 3a devices would be exclusive to Verizon in the USA, so it's unclear if those plans have since fallen through or if T-Mobile will sell the devices at a later date similar to what we're now expecting with the regular Pixel 3.
