You'll need to be in the beta branch of Steam to get the update, but you can find instructions on how to enable that here. "Steam Link Anywhere allows you to stream games to your Steam Link from any computer running Steam", Valve says, noting that the only requirements are a "good upload speed" for the host computer and that the Steam Link device has a solid network connection. For those playing games instead of making them, Steam Link is now officially usable outside of home networks, albeit in open beta. It should be added that iOS users are now out of luck, as Apple keep rejecting Valve's attempts to get the app on the App Store. This was only really useful for those times when you want to play a game on your couch. Their "Steam Link" streaming boxes can hook up to various displays (such as your living room TV) to grant you access to your entire Steam library from the comfort of your couch. You'll have to opt into the Steam client beta with the date of March 13 or newer, and then you can connect to any computer by selecting "Other Computer" from the search.

While Microsoft and Google are getting ready to duke it out over their cloud gaming services, Valve still has a foot in the market.

Valve did not state the exact specifications required to stream at various resolutions, but added that it would continue to improve the Steam Link Anywhere experience.

Before Valve killed it off at the end of past year, the Steam Link was the best way to stream your game library from your PC to your living room. Steam Link Anywhere is a new service and it greatly expands upon the previous functionality of Steam Link for Android.
