Had McCarron been on the Raiders' roster on Friday, he would have received a $1.9 million bonus, and $1.1 million of his $3 million base salary for the 2019 season would have become guaranteed, too.

But the 33-year-old struggled to replicate his Packer form in Oakland, even after the Raiders shipped out Amari Cooper midway through the campaign.

That was part of the contract that McCarron signed with the Buffalo Bills in free agency past year.

Nelson would have been battling for field time with Brown and Tyrell Williams, who also was just signed by the Raiders. He caught 63 passes for 739 yards and three touchdowns over 15 games in his only season with the Raiders.

The Oakland Raiders made things official Wednesday with the best wide receiver in the game, as they brought in Antonio Brown to Oakland for his introductory press conference.
