Buckingham Palace announced the development in a statement: 'The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May previous year.

It's been a tumultuous few months at Kensington Palace, with four of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's most-trusted staff quitting within weeks of each other, and rumours of a reported "feud" casting a shadow over the family.

It will coincide with the move of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before their baby arrives.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's office will remain in Kensington Palace. "The Household, which will be created with the support of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring", the statement reads, shared by royal expert Katie Nicholl.

It continued: "The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017".

"The Queen has given permission for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to base their Household Office at Buckingham Palace".

The public display of affection was intentional, says a Vanity Fair report published Wednesday, as it appears the two are trying to publicly put rumors to rest.

It means Harry and Meghan's team will no longer have to report to his brother William's team which removes one of the tensions that exist between the siblings. And I think that is what we are seeing at yesterday's Commonwealth service.

"Meghan has very strong views on what she is interested in and that may be what Harry shares, but not what William and Kate share", she added. But I think we are increasingly going to see the Sussexes doing their thing, the Cambridges doing their thing.

The news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new office, set to be based at Buckingham Palace, was announced on Thursday by the palace.

Sara Latham, who previously served on Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign team, will lead communications for Meghan and Harry, while Christian Jones is now communications secretary to William and Kate.

It has been reported that Markle is expected to continue with private meetings, though her public calendar does not have any new additions now.
