On March 10, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8, en route from Addis Ababa to Kenya's Nairobi, crashed near the Ethiopian town of Bishoftu.

Boeing was criticised after the Lion Air crash for allegedly failing to adequately inform 737 pilots about the functioning of the stall prevention system.

So far, there are cancellations on Friday at the Region of Waterloo International Airport for the WestJet flight to and from Calgary, the company confirming that these are due to the groundings.

Boeing announced Thursday that it was suspending deliveries of its 737 Max jets to airlines after almost every country grounded the plane following Sunday's deadly crash in Ethiopia. Regulators will wait for more definitive evidence of what caused both crashes.

"An Ethiopian delegation led by Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has flown the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) to Paris, France for investigation", the airline said in a statement on Thursday. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board sent three investigators to help.

Meanwhile, Boeing stocks continue to slide on the United States stock market. "The investigation team will decide where", the spokesman told Reuters.

In Addis Ababa, about 200 angry family members of crash victims left a briefing with Ethiopian Airlines officials, saying that the carrier has not given them adequate information.

CTV Windsor has learned Windsor International Airport is now holding five of the grounded aircraft and could potentially see as many as 10 parked on its property.

At the crash scene in Hejere, about 50 kilometres (31 miles) from Addis Ababa, growing numbers of family members arrived, some wailing or beating their chests as a bulldozer navigated piles of debris.

Ethiopian investigators have now sent the black boxes to Paris to be analyzed - almost three days after they were recovered from the crash site. "They have to find the problem ... and they will find it", he said.

If the aircrafts' maneuvering characteristics augmentation system receives an erroneously high angle-of-attack sensor input, there is potential for repeated nose-down commands of the horizontal stabilizer, the FAA said, adding the condition would made it hard for pilots to control the plane. "Moreover, the larger risk is the reputational concern for Boeing".

In the U.S., Southwest is likely to be most affected.

Garuda Indonesia's chief executive said there is a "possibility" the airline will cancel its orders of Boeing Co's 737 MAXs, with the final decision depending on what the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) does.
