The Hallmark Channel cut ties Thursday with favoured star Lori Loughlin, a day after her arrest in a college admissions scam put the family-friendly network and extended Hallmark brand in uncomfortable proximity to a national scandal. "We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including 'Garage Sale Mysteries, ' an independent third party production", the Hallmark parent company said in a statement.

Hallmark Channel told the Associated Press that actress Lori Loughlin will no longer be involved with the network after starring in more than a dozen of the network's films.

Crown Media also added that the series, "When Calls the Heart", will not be airing on Sunday, March 17. When Calls the Heart, which stars Loughlin as a schoolteacher in a turn-of-the-century Canadian coal town, is now airing its sixth season.

When reached by Fox News, a rep for Loughlin said that they "have no information to share".

She's been a longtime star of the channel's Christmas movies and is also is in its "Garage Sale Mysteries" movies and the series "When Calls the Heart".

Then came Tuesday's bombshell government allegation that Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were among more than 30 parents who paid a consultant to ensure their offspring's place in college with bribes and falsified exams.

On Wednesday, the "Full House" star was taken into custody over her alleged connection to the scheme.

Loughlin was taken into custody by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents in Los Angeles early Wednesday after being one of over 40 people charged in a college admissions cheating scam, including her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli.

Apart from travelling to the Vancouver area, the actor is only allowed to move within the continental U.S.

Giannulli founded the Mossimo brand with $100,000 borrowed from his father, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The 54-year-old actress has starred in 15 Garage Sale Mysteries films so far, with another installment listed as "filming" on IMDb and three more in pre-production.

The technology company said that it worked with Loughlin and her daughter in 2017 for a "one time product campaign".
