Zinedine Zidane takes charge of his first game since making an astonishing return to Real Madrid on Saturday against Celta Vigo which is set to be a de facto audition for next season for numerous team's underperforming players.

The Frenchman sensationally walked away from the Santiago Bernabeu in May 2018 and president Florentino Perez has since sacked two head coaches in nine months during an underwhelming season. The team has fallen into crisis since he left in May after winning an unprecedented third straight Champions League.

But Zidane made it clear in his presentation that sweeping changes must be made for his second coming to be a success, meaning many in his squad will be playing for their futures against Celta and in the other 10 remaining league games. "I think there are only ten players in the world who can play for or live up to Real Madrid's standards", he continued. The player had hoped following the unsuccessful stints of Lopetegui and Solari in the dugout might open the door for him to get another opportunity in Madrid.
