According to the Detroit Lions, they have signed free-agent OL Oday Aboushi and S Andrew Adams.

Adams originally entered the National Football League with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent out of CT in 2016. He's cashing in on $23 million guaranteed in the process.

In the aftermath of their decision to trade away superstar receiver Odell Beckham, the Giants have insisted that they have a plan without telling us what that plan is. It's a curious roster fit given that the Giants already have Sterling Shepard in the slot and lots of short-range receivers such as Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram. McCourty added four more pass defenses in New England's postseason run, including a pivotal break-up of a would-be Brandin Cooks touchdown in the third quarter of the Patriots' Super Bowl LIII victory over the L.A. Rams.

Giants general manager Dave Gettleman made a mistake throwing money around last offseason and most of his few free-agent signings, especially running back Jonathan Stewart and offensive guard Patrick Omameh, made little or no impact on the team. Tate got married and had a daughter within the past year, and he'd have a second child born just after this season. Obviously a big-name guy, traded from the Lions to the Eagles previous year.

Sources confirmed that New England's offer was for roughly $30 million over four years, which is in the ballpark of the Titans' four-year, $36 million deal. This past season with both teams, he caught 74 passes for 795 yards and four touchdowns.
