The latest update from the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is now calling for up to two feet of snow in some areas, along with risky winds and unsafe travel conditions.

As the storm intensifies, heavy snow is expected from northern Colorado, including Denver, to western Nebraska, central South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota. Sustained wind speeds of 30 to 40 miles per hour are expected across New Mexico, western Texas, central to western Oklahoma, central to western Kansas and southeast Colorado, according to the National Weather Service. Some areas could see gusts as strong as 110 miles per hour.
