The US technology firm has just sent out invitations to the world's media and Monday, March 25 is the date that Apple fans need to put in their diaries.

Apple is gearing up to launch a new 10.2-inch seventh-generation iPad, as well as a non-Pro 10.5-inch iPad, according to a new leak.

While Apple is keeping the information about what it plans to unveil as secret as possible, this year we believe that the Cupertino, California-based company plans to expand its Apple News service with magazines and other publications, and announce a brand-new video streaming service to rival Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

The company is also expected to talk about its new TV streaming service at the event, though that is yet to be confirmed.

In addition to the anticipated video service, the event will witness the traditional unveiling of new iPads.

We'll find out more on Monday, March 25 with the event taking place at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino from 10am local time - 5pm GMT. The new service will give Apple device owners free access to the company's new original content, and it will also come with a Channels system that allows users to subscribe to platforms like HBO via an additional subscription.

Subscription models in tech-including at Apple, where iPhone sales are cooling while its Services division is thriving-have emerged as new revenue drivers. If the latest reports are anything to go by, we might be able to get a peek into the long-rumoured service on March 25.
