Chelsea Manager, Maurizio Sarri has revealed why his side may not win Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Europa League last 16 second-leg tie in Ukraine on Thursday night.

Chelsea won the first leg at Stamford Bridge 3-0. There are muddy patches dotted around the uneven surface, a legacy of the harsh Ukrainian winter, and fears that areas of the pitch watered prior to the game will freeze as temperatures plummet around the 8pm kick-off, making it even more treacherous.

"I think this is unfair from them", he told a news conference ahead of facing Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League. The pitch is not good. But the situation is this.

"This is the situation, so we have to accept it". I understand Chelsea fans want to see more of him and he has to do everything he can to give himself the chance of minutes. "It's a problem for us but also for our opponents". It's really risky to play any football here in this moment, and I think it's really very unsafe for injuries.

"Jorginho is very important for us, a very good player".

"I can not understand why UEFA are so concerned and pay attention to everything like the player lists, and presenting them at a certain time".

"The pitch is very, very unsafe", he told reporters this week. "Sometimes that's not possible".

He picked Kante as the quietest Blues player, saying: "It is N'Golo a lot of the time but he can be loud as well when you get him to talk". "I hope it can be agreed that he can stay at Chelsea".

"It is really unsafe to play any football here at this moment".
