A recent listing has quietly turned up on the German page for video game retailer Gamestop, suggesting that Activision's retro re-release Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be winging its way onto Nintendo Switch in August. Although information on the Switch version of the game has leaked in the past, we haven't heard about it since lasts July.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy originally launched for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 a year ago. The remasters bring the first Spyro game, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon with a new coat of graphics while keeping levels and gameplay the same as the originals. The colors pop off the screen, the textures are crisp and the animations are fluid.

While the rumored Spyro remakes Nintendo Switch release date would come less than a year of its release on other consoles, fans looking to take the purple, sheep-burning dragon on the go will likely get their wish soon. As there has been no word of a Nintendo Switch release for the Reignited Trilogy from either publisher Activision or the titles developer, Toys For Bob. If so, would you still be picking it up for Switch, should it finally come to the console?
