Earlier today HMD Global announced the Nokia 8.1 for Australia.

The latest leak surrounding the Nokia 9 PureView came from Google itself through a listing ‘accidentally published on Andorids Enterprise catalog of supported devices. What we're actually looking at here is a new mid-range offering from the veteran phone manufacturer. And this makes sense considering the difference in price points.

It has a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with dual 13MP/12MP cameras, as well as a 20MP front-facing camera.

Inside the Nokia 8.1 is a Snapdragon 710 processor and a battery that promises two day battery life from a single charge.

The Nokia 8.1 is slated to hit shelves in JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks on 21 February for $699 RRP, in either Blue/Silver and Steel/Copper finishes.
