That's a promising first look, with pace, energy and, most importantly, laughs - watching Anne Hathaway show off her comic chops is a hoot, and she's already got the con artist thing down after last year's Ocean's Eight.

The comedic duo fronts the film as a pair of disparate crooks - Hathaway's British schemer lives the high life with stolen jewels while Wilson's low-rung petty thief swindles cakes and club sandwiches - who team up to take down the men who've wronged them.

"Who's the mark?" United Artists & MGM have revealed the first trailer for summer comedy The Hustle, a gender-swapped remake of comedy classic Dirty Rotten Scoundrels from 1988. Wilson and Roger Birnbaum produced with Cave 76 Productions and Camp Sugar Production. Here's hoping he can deliver something fresh and amusing, considering how much love there is for Frank Oz's 1988 original, starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine as the two swindlers. Directed by Chris Addison, the film also stars Tim Blake Nelson, Alex Sharp, Ingrid Oliver and Emma Davies.

The Hustle will con its way into United Kingdom cinemas on 10 May.
