Manchester United's Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho reacts after the UEFA Europa League final football match Ajax Amsterdam v Manchester United on May 24, 2017 at the Friends Arena in Solna outside Stockholm.

The 56-year-old shot the promo for his new show during a recent trip to Russian Federation, where you might have seen him falling flat on his arse as he threw the puck down ahead of an ice hockey game.

'I'm going to talk about football on RT, what else did you think I was going to do?' Mourinho said at the end of the video after initially teasing he could be changing sports to ice hockey.

Mourinho also appeared at a hockey rink in Moscow's suburbs this month, slipping on the ice and taking a nasty tumble while performing a ceremonial puck drop.

Mourinho, who was dismissed by United back in December, worked with worldwide news channel RT during the World Cup and earned £1.71million (£400,000-a-day) for just four days' work as a TV pundit.

Despite mainstream politicians and pundits appearing on its channels in Britain, the US, and beyond, a number of academics have claimed it broadcasts distorted information on behalf of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Mourinho guided United through the competition's group stages before being sacked in December amid reports of player unrest.
