Over the past couple of months, Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle has been in the news with several claims that he was not invited to the royal wedding between his daughter and Prince Harry.

The letter continued: "Your actions have broken my heart into a million pieces - not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain, but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this". In the lead-up to the nuptials, it had been reported that Thomas Markle would walk his daughter down the aisle, but just a few days before the wedding, doubt was cast as to his fitness to do this after it was reported he wasn't well and wouldn't be able to travel from his home in Mexico to Windsor in England, where the wedding was held.

HuffPost reached out to Kensington Palace, which had no comment.

"I pleaded with you to stop reading the tabloids". Please allow us to live our lives in peace. In the letter, Meghan wrote that her father broke her heart "into a million pieces" by criticising her marriage to Prince Harry.

"You watched me silently suffer at the hands of your vicious lies".

According to the letter attributed to Markle, the royal refutes some other specific claims he's made, writing, "You've told the press that you called me to say you weren't coming to the wedding - that didn't happen because you never called".

Thomas Markle has since given a series of damaging interviews in which he has spoken of his dismay at being pushed aside by his daughter and her new family.

"I refuse to stay quiet".

Her dad had the 5-page note published by the Daily Mail. "And while you claim to have no way of contacting me, my phone number has remained the same. We have disagreements and he was protecting you from me, but I didn't feel that I was attacking him??" I made her the duchess she is today.

He also has repeatedly attacked the duchess and Harry, who he has never met in person, for their treatment of him.

"Just to give people a snapshot of how it really was - if I do one interview and they pay me $1,500, 10,000 publications will copy that and write their own story, that's how it works", she said. "Axe murderers kill 19 people and their daughters still come and visit them in prison", Markle told The Sun in January, calling Meghan's attitude toward him "incomprehensible".

It seems, by releasing the letter, Thomas Markle has not internalised his daughter's pleas.
