Diana Ross Celebrates 75th Birthday With Family and on Grammy Stage

The singer - who sang a medley of her hits in a tribute to herself, in honor of her upcoming 75th birthday - left her peers in awe.

Dressed in a red velvet blazer paired with a white dress shirt and black trousers, 9-year-old Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick took the stage to introduce his grandmother's medley but left the Twitterverse claiming he "stole the show" after he flossed and revealed his nickname for Ross: "Grandmommy" during his speech. "So, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my grand-mommy Diana Ross". "Together we have no limits", she said. "I'm nearly 4 foot 9".

Before launching into her hit 1970 single "Reach Out And Touch (Somebody's Hand)", Ross told everyone she was celebrating her 75th birthday. "There's only success ahead, and you can lead the way. Learn, dream, unlock new doors, all is possible, all is possible with music and with you".

"She is incredible", he told the audience about Ross.

After telling the crowd "don't be lazy" as she prompted everyone to stand, she ended the performance by exclaiming, "Happy birthday to me!"

The singer - a proud mom and grandmother - was joined by her kids and grandchildren who were in the crowd to watch her "Diamond Diana" performance. Her most famous child is Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, 46. But she is also mom to daughters Rhonda, Chudney, 43, and sons Evan, 30, and Ross, 31.
