Switch missed hardware target because Nintendo didn't 'convey appeal' of the system

Then the Switch launched in 2017, and though it fills mostly the same goal as the 3DS, Nintendo has stated many times that it will continue to offer the 3DS as something of an entry-level console for those who may be new to gaming. He explained that this is a common issue in Japan, but expressed optimism that Nintendo in particular can buck this trend in the future.

As Nintendo continues to push sales of its Switch console and software, perhaps it will consider pushing for hiring more female developers.
