Firstly, the PC beta has a habit of crashing after extended gameplay sessions, this is best circumvented by restarting your game client "every two to three hours". If you do not have one, you will be able to create a new account.

As described in our sign up guide, all you need to do to sign up is visit The Division 2 Private Beta website.

You can only invite friends who are playing The Division 2 on the same platform as yours. Below, we'll tell you when the beta starts, how you can get involved and what to expect from Tom Clancy's latest.

Concerning the closed beta that is going on now, here's what you need to know: "You are limited to one character during the testing phase, and this character can not be deleted", shared the studio in a recent update on their website. They will receive an invitation email where they will have to log into the BETA WEBSITE to activate their access. The player cap is set at 30 for the beta.

Ubisoft has issued a warning about problems in this weekend's The Division 2 beta, although they already have workarounds.

In addition to this content, beginning February 8 at 8am PT, The Division 2 fans will have the opportunity to have a first hands-on with endgame content with one Invaded mission. The simple workaround is to ensure you've fired up the beta, and to accept any invitations from within the game itself.

If you want to sign-up for beta access, things get a little bit more convoluted - your first step will be to head to the sign-up section on the site and select which platform you'd like to the beta on - PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.
