President Trump is "in very good health" and expected to remain healthy for "the duration of his Presidency, and beyond", the president's doctor reported Friday following a physical exam that lasted almost four hours and included 11 specialists. He was said to be in excellent health after last year's four-hour examination, when his personal physician praised his "incredibly good genes".

US President Donald Trump, famous for his love of fast food, does not exercise or follow his diet plan, White House staffers said ahead of his annual physical exam on Friday.

"I am happy to announce the President of the United States is in very good health and I anticipate he will remain so for the duration of his Presidency, and beyond", Conley wrote afterward. There is little evidence to indicate he has lost a significant amount of weight.

At the time, Trump faced questions about his mental fitness after the book Fire and Fury was released.

"The president received a diet and exercise plan past year after his annual physical, but the president admits he has not followed it religiously", Hogan Gidley, the principal deputy White House press secretary, told CNN on Thursday.

Trump, 72, has visibly gained weight in recent years. "By all standards, by all metrics, any way a doctor or cardiologist would look at it, the president does have heart disease", Gupta declared after the briefing, despite Jackson's own firm assertion that Trump was not suffering from heart disease.

Jackson returned to the White House this month as assistant to the president and chief medical adviser.

Trump's former physician, Dr. Ronny L. Jackson, became an Internet sensation past year for his public pronouncement that Trump has "incredibly good genes". A cognitive assessment was normal. Trump daily takes a 10 mg dose of Crestor to lower cholesterol, 81 mg of aspirin for cardiac health, and 1 mg of Propecia for prevention of male pattern hair loss.
