And everyone else will be able to purchase it as a standalone game for $39.99 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Ubisoft has settled on March 29 as the official release date for the remastered version of Assassin's Creed 3.

As you can see from the trailer, the game gets a 4K visual upgrade with HDR support and an overbearingly warm visual tone. This version will also have improved mechanics and ergonomics. In addition to featuring the Assassin's Creed III base game and all the DLCs released for it, this Assassin's Creed III Remastered also includes the high-definition re-launch of Assassin's Creed Liberation. "It comes with all of its original post-launch content, including the Benedict Arnold missions, Hidden Secrets missions, and the Tyranny of King Washington storyline", also reported Variety.

The game was widely considered a step back from the critically-acclaimed Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, despite paving the way for naval combat which played a central focus in follow-up Black Flag. It's coming out earlier, though, on March 20.

It's been six years since Connor brought the American Stabbing Revolution to our screens, and if you'd like to relive that experience with a fresh coat of paint, you won't have to wait long.

There's no clue when the next Assassin's Creed title will come out.
