Flu is now widespread in Tennessee — CDC

Three more people have died from the flu in Douglas County. The county health department is investigating. The young patient died in Highland County, east of Cincinnati.

During last year's flu season, the ODH confirmed there were six deaths related to pediatric influenza, WLWT reported.

The Kentucky Department of Public Health has labeled the current flu activity level in the state as widespread. So far, OH has reported 1,832 flu-associated hospitalizations this flu season, making a decrease from 8,611 reporter during the same period a year ago.

"It's not too late to get a flu shot".

The flu has hit Tennessee in a major way, according to the Centers for Disease Control. "If you are sick with the flu, stay home from work or school to prevent spreading it to others", de Fijter said.
