A few days ago, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown came to the defense of Penn Badgley's character, Joe Goldberg, on Netflix's latest show, You.

It is an interesting point of view as Badgley's character Joe stalks his crush, masturbates while spying on her, and even commits murder on the series. "He's not creepy. He's in love with her, and it's OK", the 14-year-old Stranger Things star shared to her Instagram Storie.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Brown defended Goldberg's behavior, saying "he's not creepy".

In a separate video, Brown recognizes her opinion may go against the norm. So I am obsessed with it, I am binge-watching it, absolute banger, Netflix.

She added later, "I know everybody's going to say, 'Uh, he's a stalker, why would you support that?' No, like, he's in love with her. And it's just like, just watch the show and don't judge me on my opinions".

However, many people on social media are construing Badgley's character as just an "intense lover".

"So, I just started that new show 'You", Brown said.

Now, Brown is following up her comments by taking a different stance. I watched episode 10 - most definitely is a stalker.

"Someone get @PennBadgley to have a discussion with Millie Bobby Brown because oh honey no", one Twitter user wrote, referring to when Badgley shut down fans who said they were attracted to his character.

"So I just finished You. Stop romanticizing and normalizing abusive, unhealthy behavior", another added.

While Brown might have received a slew of comments in her Instagram inbox denouncing the character, Brown guessing her comments would bring further backlash given the seriousness of the subject matter, quickly posted a second video on her Instagram, as first reported by Entertainment Tonight.
