"I deleted everything. I wanna be normal..."

Lil Uzi Vert has claimed he has quite music, and fans don't know what to think. "I WANNA WAKE UP IN 2013", read the post's message.

The man born Symere Woods, 24, in Philadelphia quietly climbed onto Instagram Story Friday evening and conveyed the fact that, in the middle of his artistic prime, he is retiring from the game.

He added, "You are free".

Uzi didn't share much more on the situation, but it seems that Eternal Atake isn't coming out anytime soon.

The Philly rapper had been teasing the project throughout 2018.

Within a few years, after the release of his first major mixtape The Real Uzi in 2014, he signed a record deal with Atlantic Records, and the rest, as they say, was history. "I'm finally done with that joint", said Uzi, who also debuted a new song from the project.

Rap star Lil Uzi claims he is hanging up the microphone.

Before his surprising announcement today, the supposedly imminent "Eternal Atake" album had drawn attention and controversy for featuring cover art based on the Heaven's Gate cult.

Fans are unsure if this is a publicity stunt.

His first studio album Luv Is Rage 2 was released in 2017, and spawned the hit single XO Tour Llif3, which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard charts.
