Jayme Closs will be reunited with family members Thursday night, police said.

Barron Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald previously said at a news conference that Jayme is not a suspect. It's just a great result we got tonight.

She describes Denise as a mother whose involvement showed how much she cared about her daughter: "A lot of parents will drop [their] kids off at activities when they get to be a little older".

On Thursday evening the Barron County Sheriff's Department was notified by the Douglas CO WI Sheriff's Department that they had located Jayme Closs alive.

Barron Mayor Ron Fladten said Thursday night (local time) he hadn't heard any details about Jayme's discovery yet but was overjoyed at learning she is alive. Gillian Drummond, a spokeswoman for the Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Leonard Peace, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Wisconsin, declined comment Thursday evening (local time).

"We thank everyone all around for their help", Smith said. Investigators believe Closs was in the home at the time of the murders.

"Finally we want to especially thank the family for their support and patience while this case was ongoing".

Roughly two weeks after she disappeared, a man identified as Kyle Jaenke-Annis, 32, was arrested for allegedly burglarizing the Closs' home.

Jayme's parents James, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, were found dead at their home in rural Barron early Monday, October 15, with their daughter's disappearance prompting an Amber Alert later that day. The dispatcher called the number back but was unable to leave a voicemail. The call was "pinged" to the Closs home. Their 13 year-old daughter Jayme Closs was missing.

When authorities responded to the home, they found the front door kicked in and the couple had been shot to death.

When police arrived four minutes later, no gun or suspects were found at the scene and there was no sign of Jayme.

Closs disappeared October 15, 2018, the same day her parents - James and Denise Closs - were found shot to death inside their Barron home.

Detectives pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and conducted numerous searches in the effort to find Jayme.
